Filecoin Foundation and Theoriq Partner to Develop AI Agent Collectives Using Filecoin Data

Filecoin Foundation (FF) and Theoriq have partnered to develop a series of AI Agents on the Theoriq platform, a framework for collaborative autonomous AI Agents designed to accomplish complex tasks. These Agents will be trained on data from the Filecoin network, the world’s largest decentralized data storage network designed to store humanity’s most important information, and will seek to make the data stored on Filecoin more accessible and usable for a variety of audiences.

Filecoin AI Agent Collective

At Consensus 2024, Porter Stowell, FF’s Head of Community, demoed a Filecoin AI Agent developed in collaboration with Theoriq. Trained on the Filecoin docs and GitHub repositories, the Filecoin AI Agent allows users to get detailed answers through natural language queries on how to build on Filecoin, troubleshoot common issues, getting started as a storage provider, and more. The Filecoin AI Agent is just the start of the Agentic Collective. Looking ahead, FF and Theoriq will continue working together to develop Agents for a wide range of data hosted on Filecoin to provide seamless natural language interaction with public datasets. FF and Theoriq are currently exploring a CIA AI Agent that will enable researchers and policymakers to efficiently search and verify one million declassified documents. This Agent will leverage 25 years of declassified CIA datasets from MuckRock that are stored on Filecoin. MuckRock has been working with Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web (FFDW) since 2022 to integrate IPFS and Filecoin to preserve critical public interest documents.

What is an Agent?
